What Exactly is the BAU on Criminal Minds?
The Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU) is a group of profilers, who attempt to track down criminals before they commit heinous crimes across the United States. Based out of Virginia, the BAU travels across the country looking for the most sophisticated and deadly criminals.
The powerful TV drama revolves around a popular issue (crime) but is unique in the way the show is presented, getting inside the minds of these criminals to help explain why they committed such horrific crimes. Based loosely on actual cases, Criminal Minds touches all different sorts of violent acts without being too repetitive.
Agent Jareau (Cook) was in charge of handling media liaisons, informing the public whenever a serial killer was on the loose.
